Since inception all our annual running costs and infrastructure costs have been solely funded by compassionate individuals from around the world. We operate without any financial or practical help from governments, national or international aid agencies. Currently we do not have any corporate sponsors.
About the sustainability of a financial resource in the future
Hopefully, the ACODO farm will be our principal source of income in the future. Until now our funding has come entirely through personal donations, with the Charity Dance Show and Volunteers at the orphanage and fundraising around the country during school holidays raising additional. We recognise that this is not a perfect situation and that is why we set up the ACODO farm, to hopefully be our principle source of income in the future. When the farm is providing enough revenue, we will look to phase out the dance show, but the children will continue dance as one of their activities.
Once completed, the farm will be able to support ACODO in three ways. Food for the children at the ACODO Orphanage and the ACODO Community Training Centers, food and assistance for the Indigent Family Support Programme and finally urgently needed revenue from the sale of excess produce at local markets.
