In September 2010 we started a farm so that we can work towards becoming self sufficient. We grow our own rice, breed our own animals and fish so that we can feed all our children and support local communities. The ACODO farm is situated in the next province about 67 kilometres from our orphanage. It is located near a river so that we can grow rice throughout the year.
Volunteers are welcome to hop on the back of our cattle truck alongside our children and staff whenever we visit our farm for the day.
Alternatively, volunteers may wish to experience this unique opportunity by living and working on our farm. Accommodation consists of sleeping in a traditional open hut with a thatched roof. Other living conditions, such as washing and eating facilities, are rudimentary.
Please contact us in advance if you would like to live and work on the farm.
